Queen’s Park students visit WWI graves

STUDENTS visited the First World War battlefields in France and Belgium recently. They did research on fallen soldiers from the Cheshire Regiment and visited the Tyne Cot memorial and war cemeteries.

Reece Jones and Alistair Hogan, from year 9, are pictured against the background of Lord Kitchener’s famous recruiting poster.

Reece researched Chester soldier Evan Jones who died in April 1918 aged just 20, and was able to find his grave at Tyne Cot.
